Qué (quién) es dual competence - definición

PERFORMANCE-ORIENTED ORGANIZATIONAL OPERATION
Competence management

Natural competence
  • '''Natural competence.'''<br />
1-Bacterial cell DNA<br />
2-Bacterial cell plasmids <br />
3-Sex pili <br />
4-Plasmid of foreign DNA from a dead cell <br />
5-Bacterial cell restriction enzyme <br />
6-Unwound foreign plasmid <br />
7-DNA ligase <br />
'''I:''' A plasmid of foreign DNA from a dead cell is intercepted by the sex pili of a naturally competent bacterial cell. <br />
'''II:''' The foreign plasmid is transduced through the sex pili into the bacterial cell, where it is processed by bacterial cell restriction enzymes. The restriction enzymes break the foreign plasmid into a strand of nucleotides that can be added to the bacterial DNA.<br />
'''III:''' DNA ligase integrates the foreign nucleotides into the bacterial cell DNA.<br />
'''IV:''' Recombination is complete and the foreign DNA has integrated into the original bacterial cell's DNA and will continue to be a part of it when the bacterial cell replicates next.
ABILITY OF A CELL TO ALTER ITS GENETICS BY TAKING UP EXTRACELLULAR DNA FROM ITS ENVIRONMENT
Competent cell; Competent cells; Competent bacterium; Competence (biology); Genetic competence
In microbiology, genetics, cell biology, and molecular biology, competence is the ability of a cell to alter its genetics by taking up extracellular ("naked") DNA from its environment in the process called transformation. Competence may be differentiated between natural competence, a genetically specified ability of bacteria which is thought to occur under natural conditions as well as in the laboratory, and induced or artificial competence, which arises when cells in laboratory cultures are treated to make them transiently permeable to DNA.
Dual space
  • ''x''1 + ''x''2}}.
The addition +′ induced by the transformation can be defined as ''<math>[\Psi(x_1) +' \Psi(x_2)](\varphi) = \varphi(x_1 + x_2) = \varphi(x)</math>'' for any ''<math>\varphi</math>'' in the dual space.
VECTOR SPACE OF LINEAR FUNCTIONALS (MAY CONSIST ONLY ON CONTINUOUS FUNCTIONALS OR OF ALL FUNCTIONALS)
Duality (linear algebra); Dual vector space; Algebraic dual; Continuous dual; Continuous dual space; Algebraic dual space; Norm dual; Double dual; Topological dual space; Dual (linear algebra); Annihilator (linear algebra); Dual Space
In mathematics, any vector space V has a corresponding dual vector space (or just dual space for short) consisting of all linear forms on V, together with the vector space structure of pointwise addition and scalar multiplication by constants.
Dual-thrust
TYPE OF SOLID PROPELLANT ROCKET ENGINE
Dual thrust; Dual-thrust; Dual-thrust rocket engine; Dual-thrust rocket
In a dual-thrust solid propellant rocket engine, the propellant mass is composed of two different types (densities) of fuel. In the case of a tandem dual-thrust motor, the fuel closest to the rocket nozzle burns fast and the fuel further into the motor's body burns slower.

Competence-based management

Competence-based strategic management is a way of thinking about how organizations gain high performance for a significant period of time. Established as a theory in the early 1990s, competence-based strategic management theory explains how organizations can develop sustainable competitive advantage in a systematic and structural way. The theory of competence-based strategic management is an integrative strategy theory that incorporates economic, organizational and behavioural concerns in a framework that is dynamic, systemic, cognitive and holistic (Sanchez and Heene, 2004). This theory defines competence as: the ability to sustain the coordinated deployment of resources in ways that helps an organization achieve its goals (creating and distributing value to customers and stakeholders), and how to initiate and manage change within an organization. The competency management definition also covers the core competencies of the organization itself. Every organization should have a competency framework, which consists of a set of four to six core competencies. This serves to strengthen and illustrate the core culture of the organization, while highlighting differences from competitors. Competence-based management can be found in areas other than strategic management, namely in human resource management.
